Our mission is simple: to make contemporary dance accessible to all adults, regardless of age or background. Our approach is a framework of consistent groups that go through a learning and training process over time which allows for in-depth, intimate group and personal work. Bona is more than just a dance school; It is a community that celebrates the inclusivity and passion for dance. We are expanding throughout Europe with highly professional teachers, we offer a unique combination of courses in contemporary and modern dance, improvisation, contact improvisation, alongside movement and somatic work.

What will you learn ?

Designed for beginners, the dance courses introduce the fundamentals in a supportive, non-judgmental space. It’s a place to explore, make mistakes, and leave each class feeling accomplished. You’ll start with the essentials: body awareness, spatial understanding, group dynamics, modern dance principles, posture, and musicality. As the course progresses, you’ll dive deeper into dance techniques, including floorwork and the balance between softness and strength.

Bona Dance – a new home in Munich

Starting September 2025, all Bona Dance courses will take place at Mudubi – a center for movement, dance, and martial arts in Munich.

Bona Dance is collaborating with Mudubi to create a shared home for dance, creativity, and movement. This partnership opens up new opportunities for exchange, inspiration, and collective growth within a vibrant community.

Our Team in Munich

Roee Be’er, Manager

Roee is Bona Dance Munich's leader and a teacher of Aikido and the Feldenkrais Method. He completed his Master's degree in Sports Science at the Technical University of Munich, where he conducted research on balance control and motor learning. He trained in Aikido with Miles Kessler, Patrick Cassidy, and Thor Schoo, and in the Feldenkrais Method with Basil Glazer and Rachel Elazar. In his work, Roee seeks structure and freedom, playfulness and ease in movement, as well as ways to develop new sensorimotor skills through interaction with the environment. He has worked with the Israeli dance company Vertigo, alongside dancers from the Batsheva Dance Company, and as a guest lecturer at LACDC, Tanzfabrik Berlin, and Tanzwerkstatt Europa.

Sascha Paar, Course coordinator &Teacher

Sascha Paar, born in Graz (AT), is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher trained at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden. After several years with Theater Chemnitz and as a freelance artist, working with choreographers such as Alexander Ekman, Marco Goecke, and Ohad Naharin, he founded the interdisciplinary collective CLUSTER. He now lives and works in Munich, exploring body, memory, and identity in both his artistic and teaching practice.

Sarah Hohendorf, Teacher

Sarah is a freelance dancer and dance teacher based in Munich. She trained as a dance pedagogue at the Iwanson School for Contemporary Dance and has since been exploring the connections between dance and music in collaboration with a band. Her teaching style is a blend of dance technique, body exploration, and sensory awareness.

Anja Treffer, Teacher

Anja is a Munich-based dancer and dance educator. She completed her contemporary dance studies at Iwanson International and previously earned her diploma as a state-certified movement educator and gymnastics teacher at the Bode School in Munich. Since childhood, she has been exploring space through movement — and even today, expansive, space-filling movement remains a central element of her work. About her classes: Through targeted exercises, we deepen our awareness of body and space. We express our creativity through movement, sometimes quieting the mind and letting the soul dance.

Noa Bar, teacher

Noa is a versatile movement instructor with a background in classical and modern dance, Pilates, and sport therapy. She holds a B.A. in Psychology (HUJI) and certifications in Mat Pilates (PCS) and Sport Therapy (Wingate Institute). She has taught ballet, modern, jazz, and Pilates, coordinated dance programs, and served as rehearsal director for the Professional Dance Training Program (Hakvutza, Tel Aviv). Her teaching emphasizes body and spatial awareness, precision, and mindful movement, empowering students to become strong, intelligent, and independent movers.

Our classes are tailored to accommodate adults of all fitness levels. While dance is a physical activity, our instructors ensure that routines are manageable and focus on gradual progression. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities.
Yes, you can! We often offer trial classes for newcomers to experience a session before signing up for a full program. It’s a great way to get a feel for our teaching style and the class environment.
It’s completely normal to feel that way when starting something new. Our classes are all about personal growth and enjoyment, not judgment or competition. You’ll find our dance community supportive and encouraging, making it easier to overcome any initial hesitations.
Comfort is key! We recommend wearing clothing that allows you to move freely. Flexible workout attire, such as leggings, t-shirts, or comfortable pants, is ideal. For footwear, socks or bare feet are usually suitable for beginners, but we will provide specific recommendations based on the dance style.
